The BCP ERM for Salesforce.com utilizes the Desktop Integration tool for Excel provided by Salesforce.com. Use it to set up a data-only view of your report inside Excel. BCP ERM then creates a persistent shared report that other users can work inside a BCP Template on their desktop. As changes are made in Salesforce.com and pulled into BCP, users simply refresh their local spreadsheets to see what's changed. BCP ERM creates Excel comments showing you exactly what's changed. And, you can look further than the most recent changes-- all changes to all cells are versioned, so you can easily see how the report has changed over time.

And since the BCP ERM environment leverages Excel as its user interface, you're able to leverage Excel's rich reporting capabilities to create dashboards and graphs giving you insight into how the data is changing. Answers to the inevitable "how has it changed?" question is immediately available in the detail data.

BCP Unit Forecaster for Salesforce.com users

For companies which sell discrete components which are forecasted multiple times within a given account or over a multi-month time period, it's difficult to create multiple opportunities for the same unit forecast item. Companies also find it a difficult task to integrate and present "in-line" the actuals/backlog and other relevant forecast data from other systems. The BCP Unit Forecaster extends the Salesforce.com Excel Connector product to enable a two-way communication between Salesforce.com and the desktop. BCP Unit Forecaster makes it possible to extend access controlled, two-way connectivity to the desktop. Users see their account data including actuals and backlog "in-line" with their forecast data.
